Minmahaw Higher Education Foundation (MHEF) Education Outline

The second part of MEF, is the Minmahaw Higher Education Foundaton (MHEF), which is mainly a higher education preparation course. The accredited certificate is necessary for those who want to continue their education at university level. The certificate earned after passing the high school equivalency exam used as an entrance into universities and is widely recognized within the United States, Canada and many Asian countries.

Our curriculum covers the following subjects:
General English & Academic Writing
Academic Reading & Literature
Social Studies (World History, U.S. History, Geography, Political Science & Economics)
Combined Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology)
Mathematics
Burma Issues & Human Rights
Thai Language
Computer skills
Students doing the exams
 
 
 
All subjects are taught in English and include a variety of skills needed to pass the test. The program is challenging, as students come from a deprived educational background and find the academic level quite demanding. Students also have to progress quickly within a one year time frame, in order to be ready to join university at the end of the course.
