Post-10 Education Outline

The main focus of the MEF Post-10 program is to improve student’s English, awareness of Burmese issues and general knowledge. English classes will focus on grammar, form, vocabulary and skills work, which includes speaking, reading, listening and writing. Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Social Studies are taught to expose the students to the wider world, democratic ideals, develop their functional numeracy, increase their social awareness and develop their critical thinking. There are also Art and computer skills classes on a regular basis.

The teaching materials used were created specifically for students on the border and in refugee camps. The materials are relevant for their situation as well as incorporating modern teaching methodology which provides interactive lessons and fosters critical thinking.
